Detailed Description
Our precision CNC turned shafts are manufactured for rotating, positioning and power-transmission applications requiring consistent diameter, concentricity and axial geometry. CNC turning enables multiple shaft diameters, shoulders, grooves, chamfers and threaded sections to be produced within a controlled machining setup.
Depending on functional requirements, secondary operations such as center drilling, cross drilling, milling, grinding, heat treatment and surface finishing can be added. Custom shafts can be manufactured according to customer 2D drawings, 3D models and tolerance requirements.
Available Surface Finishes
- Black Oxide: Provides basic corrosion protection for carbon steel shafts.
- Zinc Plating: Adds economical corrosion resistance to steel components.
- Anodizing: Protective and decorative finish for aluminum shafts.
- Passivation: Improves corrosion resistance of stainless steel components.
Structural & Functional Breakdown
- Stepped Shaft Structure: Multiple diameters provide positioning and bearing mounting surfaces.
- Shoulder Location Structure: Machined shoulders control axial positioning between assembled components.
- Threaded End Structure: Internal or external threads support fastening and adjustment.
- Grooved Shaft Structure: Circlip, retaining-ring or sealing grooves can be integrated.
Key Features
- Controlled Diameter Machining: CNC turning maintains repeatable shaft diameter and step geometry.
- Concentric Feature Machining: Multiple cylindrical features can be produced in a common turning setup.
- Integrated Secondary Operations: Drilling, milling, grinding and threading can be added as required.
