Detailed Description

Our custom automotive injection molded parts are developed for both visible interior components and functional structural assemblies. Typical parts combine large curved surfaces with screw bosses, locating pins, snap-fit clips, reinforcement ribs and multiple installation openings within a single molded structure.

Materials such as PP, ABS, PC+ABS, PA6 and PA66 can be selected according to requirements for impact resistance, stiffness, heat resistance and weight. For large or long parts, mold-flow balance, gate position, cooling layout and rib distribution are optimized to reduce warpage, sink marks and dimensional variation. Glass-fiber-reinforced materials and secondary surface treatments can also be supported for demanding automotive applications.

Available Surface Finishes

  • Mold Texture: Fine, medium or coarse grain textures can be directly formed on visible automotive surfaces.
  • Matte Finish: Low-gloss molded surfaces provide a uniform appearance for dashboards and interior trim.
  • High-gloss Polishing: Polished mold surfaces are available for decorative bezels and high-gloss trim components.
  • Spray Painting: Custom colors, metallic finishes and decorative coatings can be applied after molding.
  • Soft-touch Coating: Adds a softer tactile surface for selected interior trim applications.
  • Laser Marking & Printing: Logos, symbols, part numbers and functional markings can be added.

Structural & Functional Breakdown

  • Integrated Snap-fit Structure: Molded clips simplify interior assembly and reduce additional fasteners.
  • Reinforcing Rib Structure: Rear-side ribs improve rigidity while maintaining relatively thin nominal walls.
  • Integrated Mounting Bosses: Screw columns and locating structures support switches, modules and neighboring trim.
  • Multi-opening Panel Structure: Display, ventilation, control and switch openings can be formed within one part.
  • Large Curved Surface Structure:Controlled filling and cooling support dashboard and center-console geometries.
  • Functional HVAC Structure: Airflow channels, guide surfaces and ventilation features can be integrated where required.

Key Machining Highlights

  • Large-part Injection Molding: Supports long and wide automotive interior and structural plastic parts.
  • Automotive Material Options: PP, ABS, PC+ABS, PA and reinforced engineering plastics are available.
  • Warpage Control: Gate, cooling and rib layouts can be optimized for large asymmetric parts.
  • Integrated Assembly Features: Clips, holes, bosses and locating pins reduce secondary assembly.
  • Custom Surface Development: Texture, paint and decorative finishes support different interior design requirements.
  • DFM Support: Wall thickness, draft, ribs, undercuts and assembly features can be reviewed before tooling.
