CNC milled aluminum heat sink housings combine mechanical protection, component mounting and thermal dissipation within one machined structure. They are widely used for power electronics, LED systems, communication equipment, industrial controllers and electronic modules where heat must be transferred away from internal components.
High-thermal-conductivity aluminum alloys such as 6061 and 6063 are commonly selected because they provide good machinability, low weight and efficient heat transfer. CNC milling can integrate external cooling fins, internal electronic cavities, mounting bosses, connector openings and precision thermal-contact surfaces into the same housing.
